Français 2
This is a second year class that is structured to help you build on the basic skills of French language learning: listening, reading, writing, speaking, and cultural awareness that you were introduced to last year. As you know active participation will create a solid foundation for communicating in French. Like last year, we will explore this beautiful language through the use of videos, films, French readings, map work, speaking activities, and games as you add to your appreciation for French culture and its influence in the world.
There are a few changes to the classroom procedures that are geared to help you learn the language better. This year will be fun, but don't forget that this is also an academic class and will involve a lot of hard work. Good attendance and daily practice are essential to helping you learn faster.

Unité 0: Une Révision
It's time to review what we learned last year. In this fast paced review, we will cover important vocabulary, conjugating verbs, and pronunciation.
Unité 1: J'aime faire du shopping
Who doesn't like to go shopping? We will learn about articles of clothing, how to talk to sales people and about money.
Unité 2: Ma Vie Quotidienne
What's your daily routine? This unit covers the day to day life. We learn reflexive verbs and daily chores.
Unité 3: Cuisinons!
We covered food in French 1, but in this unit we delve deeper into the actual making of meals.
Unité 4: Les Divertissements
How do you spend your free time? We will discuss your favorite types of entertainment and how to defend your choices.
Unité 5: Les Animaux
Finally! We will be learning about animals--how to describe them and where they live.
Unité 6: J'ai besoin d'un médecin
When was the last time you went to the doctor? In this unit, we will learn about sicknesses and injuries as well as some remedies.
Unité 7: Voyageons!
Everyone (well almost everyone) in French wants to visit the iconic Paris. We will learn vocabulary that will help you travel there.
