Conversation Lab

This is an optional opportunity for you to improve your French speaking. We will talk about topics being discussed in class and try to expand beyond those discussed in class. It is by appointment only and you are expected to attend your appointment.

Rules for the Conversation Lab are as follows:

Students must sign-up for an appointment online.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please do so online at least a day in advance.
A lab session canceled less than a day in advance will result in a missed appointment penalty.
After the second missed appointment penalty, Lab privileges will be revoked for the remainder of the term (you cannot sign up for the Conversation Lab again until the next term).
Students may sign up for one 10 minute session per week unless given special permission

The day before your appointment, ask Mme Syme for a note that will allow you to leave the cafeteria the morning of your appointment. Keep that note safe until the day of your appointment. Then, on the day of your appoinment,

Please come on time.
The doors by the cafeteria will be open and you may enter there.
Show your note from Mme Syme to the hall monitor or administrator, who will then allow you to leave the cafeteria area.
Come STRAIGHT to Mme Syme's room.
Knock on the door and we will start our chat.
- If I am with another student, please knock once then wait on the stairs.
